Richard Dannatt | General Sir Richard Dannatt KCB CBE MC Commander-in-Chief Land Command, Colonel Commandant Army Air Corps. A keen pilot with strong links to the Army Air Corps, Sir Richard Dannatt is the Corps Colonel Commandant. Commissioned into the Green Howards in 1971, he served in Northern Ireland, Cyprus and Germany before commanding 4th Armoured Brigade in Bosnia. During 1999, he commanded 3rd UK Division and served in Kosovo as Commander British Forces. In 2005 he was appointed Commander in Chief Land Command in the rank of General, and regularly pilots the numerous aircraft types within his Command. |
