Michael Walker | General Sir Michael Walker GCB CMG CBE ADC Chief of Defence Staff, former Colonel Commandant Army Air Corps. Sir Michael Walker is the senior serving officer who wears the Army Flying Badge. Commissioned into the Royal Anglian Regiment in 1966 he has served at home and overseas with his regiment and has held a wide range of command appointments. As Commander Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, he commanded the multinational land component of IFOR in Bosnia during 1995 - 96. He was the Colonel Commandant of the Army Air Corps prior to his current appointments as Chief of Defence Staff in 2003. |
