George Booth | Flight Lieutenant George Booth Sergeant George Booth, a navigator / observer with No.107 Squadron. On September 4,1939 during a low level attack on German warships at Wilhelmshaven, his Bristol Blenheim (N6240) was shot down. While the pilot was killed, Sergeant George Booth survived and became one of the first British prisoners of war in WWII. He spent the war in POW camps. |
