Dafydd James | Dafydd James Dafydd Rhys James was born in Mufulira, Zambia on 24th July 1975. Dafydd Rhys James is a former Welsh international rugby union player who plays on the wing or at centre. He toured with the British and Irish Lions in 2001. He has earned 45 caps for Wales and three for the British & Irish Lions. James made his international debut in 1996 and won 48 caps, his last coming at the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He did hold the record for leading try scorer in the Heineken Cup with 29 trys. |

Dawn of the Milennium by Simon Smith. In the new Millennium stadium Cardiff, Wales invited the World Champions the Springboks to Cardiff for what was to become one of the greatest games in welsh rugby history. the springboks were expected to conquer the welsh side comfortably, however Wales demonstrated from the start just how far they have come since their previous meeting. Mark Taylor had the honour of the first try in the new stadium followed by a second try by Gareth Thomas. The Welsh went onto to win 29 to 19. |
