Lions Captains by Robert Highton. The painting depicts the four Lions Captains that have led winning sides since 1971. They are John Dawes, the only captain to win in New Zealand in 1971, Willie John McBride who led the unbeaten Lions in South Africa in 1974, Finlay Calder who successfully led the Lions in Australia in 1989 and Martin Johnson the only man to captain the Lions on two tours. Each copy is individually signed by all four winning captains. |
